66ERS’ BORENSTEIN TOPS CAL LEAGUE HONORS

Inland Empire’s Zach Borenstein took MVP honors as the California League announced its 2013 Field Awards and Post-Season All Star Team┬átoday. Borenstein’s .332/.396/.628 line with 25 homers and 87 RBI were good enough for an all-star spot at DH as well as the MVP hardware.

The Lancaster Jethawks are well represented with three all-stars in addition to manager of the year Rodney Linares and coach of the year Darryl Robinson. Inland Empire has four all-stars while the Modesto Nuts have an all-star battery in P Daniel Winkler and C Ryan Casteel.
