BRYCE HARPER HITS FIRST ML HOMER

Bryce Harper went deep tonight in the 3rd inning off of San Diego’s Tim Stauffer for the phenom’s first major league homer. It was part of a 1-for-4 night for Harper which left his batting average at .232 while the RBI was his 4th. After bursting onto the scene two weekends back, Harper has slowed down at the plate, going 7 for his last 40 (.175). But this shot to centerfield showed his prodigous power.
