San Francisco Giants prospect Joe Panik, the 29th overall pick in the 2011 First Year Player Draft, has gotten his swing going after a slow start in the Arizona Fall League. The lefty-hitting shorstop went yard in a 2-for-3 day on Monday to inch his BA up to .244 in the early going.
Panik played his college ball at St. Johns and impressed scouts with his discerning eye at the plate. In the field, Panik is a good glove guy and has a decent arm but may eventually move over to second base.
