STRASBURG TO START FOR NATS TUESDAY

Stephen Strasburg will make it back to the bigs with a start against the Dodgers on Tuesday night, Bill Ladson of MLB.com is reporting. The top overall pick in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft is coming back from Tommy John surgery and was solid in his last start at AAA Syracuse Saturday.

The Nationals have room in their rotation with RHP Jordan Zimmerman out for the season. Strasburg has had five minor league starts since August 7th, logging 14 1/3 innings with 3 BB and 25 K. He will have one more rehab start at AA Harrisburg Thursday, where he is expected to throw 75-80 pitches.

Strasburg’s start with the Nationals on Tuesday is not expected to be longer than five innings.
